Review: Recycled Toothbrush

The idea immediately makes you go, yuck! But it isn't what it sounds like.

The Preserve Toothbrush handle is made from recycled yogurt cartons. The bristles are made from new nylon. The toothbrush comes in a package that when you are through with it you can seal it back in the package and drop it in the mail to be recycled yet again. That is something we need a little more of: design to be recycled from the start.

All good things.

As far as using it, well it is a toothbrush. It has a specially designed curve that makes it a bit awkward to hold but you get used to it quickly. Other than that it does what any toothbrush does. There are three different firmnesses for your particular type of teeth.

The reason I recommend this is that it is an example of precycling, it is putting recycled things to practical use. And it comes with a built-in method of recycling it.
