Chlorine Filter For The Shower

We use chlorine to purify our water before it gets to our home. Some of us use it to disinfect our clothes and our pools. But aren’t there other uses for it…like chlorine gas. Chlorine is a poison but we drink it and we bath in it. This doesn’t seem right.

The Other day Park + Vine had a sale so we picked up a New Wave Enviro in line shower chlorine filter. The idea is simple enough and can be installed with no tools. Unfortunately for us we had to do a little rigging with some other parts to make it work with our showerhead:

It looks a little goofy but it works without leaking.

Are we feeling any benefits yet? Not really but we are slowly trying to get away from all the toxins we can so it can’t hurt. If you search around on the web or wait for a sale you can probably get the whole assembly for $35-50. The filter has to be changed once a year and costs about $40. If you have little ones or if you just want to be healthier it can’t hurt.
