A Different Experience At Whole Foods

I really like going to Whole Foods. They are a bit steep in price but there is an option to buy quite a few things in bulk which help cut down on packaging, something we should all be striving for.

Another thing we get at whole foods is nut butter. They have these neat little grinding machines so you can get fresh ground peanut or almond butter at most. The week before last we went to Columbus, Ohio to see Bill McKibben speak. We would have to pass our Whole Foods on the way there and we were running low on nut butter. I washed a couple of jars and put them with our luggage so we could take them to Whole Foods on the way back and get some more peanut butter. We found a Whole Foods while we were up there and decided to just stop in there. We were in for a shock.

This Whole Foods (3670 W. Dublin-Granville Rd Columbus, Ohio 43235) was huge, like twice the size or ours. It had mostly the same stuff just more of it but there were a few key differences, especially in the bulk area:

Sorry for the lack of quality, I was excited

There were so many other options:

And there was a place to get bulk honey:

This is a great idea as we end up with lots of glass jars and we could use a place to buy honey in bulk.

And bulk coffee:

There were big bulk containers of loose tea as well but I forgot to get a picture.

If it wasn’t so far out of the way it would be something we could visit more often but it was still cool and we are still finding new and different things.
