Habitat For Humanity has been around since 1976 and they have
done a lot of good for low-income families. They build decent homes for no
profit. Not only that, they also build green homes that are LEED certified with
local materials.
An interesting thing I’ve seen recently is that they have
opened a
Restore Resale Outlet
up the road from where I live. Basically they take donations and resale them to
those that need to fix their homes but don’t have the money for it, people like
me.
I was up there for a bit today and took some pictures of
everything they have to offer. Take a look and then
see if one is close to you. If you
don’t need anything they are selling maybe you have some things that someone
else can use.
